Candidate MUST be prepared to be based at Batam, returning home only on weekends.
Those with 2 years or more of shipbuilding experience may apply.
1. Mechanical Supervisor / Superintendent
Requirements:
- To oversee all mechanical work on New builds as well as Repair.
- To ensure equipments installation are done correctly onboard and protected from damages.
- To prepare inspection as and when required on all machineries.
- To do commissioning on all equipment (new & old) for test run.
- All testing / commissioning of new equipments to Class Surveyor and sign off.
- Arrange for vendors to do testing and ensure proper handover to C/E.
- Inspection and checking of Mechanical work on New build vessels
- Daily inspection of Mechanical Alignment work, Engines, Rudders, etc.
- Do proper records filing of all inspection carried out by Class.
- Record all readings taken and Class numbers, equipment numbers tally with Certificates.
- Aux. engines, pumps, main engines, winches, shafting, propellers, and rudders, testing.
2. Technical Estimator
Requirements:
- Able to understand from Specification all items to be purchased.
- Get from suppliers, vendors, manufactures’ quotations for items.
- Well verse with Ship equipment and machinery.
- Able to speak on Technical term on all equipment.
- Able to bargain for cheaper and good quality items.
- Able to source for good product and reliable.
- Experience in Shipbuilding & repair purchase.
- Provide proper records of all quotation.
- To update all project cost control and records.
3. Piping Supervisor / Superintendent
Requirements:
- Few years experience in piping work for shipbuilding.
- Able to read and understand consultant/designer drawings.
- Able to do materials take off for piping drawings.
- Monitor all piping’s work onboard and ensure high standard.
- Daily check on all piping contractors’ work and to comply with Class requirement.
- Understand Class requirement on piping and standard.
- Able to do commissioning of equipments, pumps, etc.
- Well verse with all piping work and system for new building.
4. QA/QC Superintendent
Requirements:
- To oversee the daily progress work carried out in proper/ correct method and procedure.
- To ensure all inspection must be recorded in forms provided and sign off by Class.
- To file all records/forms for each project under respective places and control.
- To conduct daily inspection of whole vessels, ensure of Marine Shipbuilding Standard.
- Ensure all work complied with Class requirement and Standard.
- All materials such as valves, plates, pipes, equipments Certificates to be file to respective projects.
- Provide proper lists of all records, forms, certificates, materials mill’s certificates, for handover to owner.
- Set up the inspection test plan, set up the system for inspection between production, contractors and Class
- Set up the commissioning and trial test protocol.
5. Planner Co-ordinator (Technical)
Requirements:
- Understand Technical Specification
- Understand the shipbuilding process, sequence and method
- Prepare the detail of the shipbuilding schedule with Microsoft Office Project
- Preparing general progress of the shipbuilding
- Preparing specific progress of the hull, piping, electrical, mechanical works etc.
- Controlling of the equipment delivery.
