Miclyn Express Offshore is one of the leading providers of offshore support vessels, crew/utility vessels and barges to the offshore oil and gas industry, by fleet size, in our geographic area of focus, namely the Middle East, South East Asia, India and Australia. We also provide marine-related services to the offshore and civil construction sector.
Our company is a holding company under which the offshore support vessel, barge and shipyard business of the former
Miclyn Offshore and the crew/utility vessel business of the former Express Offshore Transport have been consolidated in late 2007. Our group operates a diverse fleet of 23 offshore support vessels, 60 crew/utility vessels (including four crew/utility vessels chartered from third parties on a bareboat charter basis) and 22 barges, which we charter to customers engaged in all three phases of the oil and
gas production cycle (exploration, development and production). In addition, we have 7 vessels (including 2 accommodation barges) under construction, of which we expect 5 vessels to be delivered by end 2010.
We are headquartered in Singapore, with operational support setups in Thailand, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. We have been operating in South East Asia and the Middle East through our predecessor companies since 1976 and 1978, respectively.
Our senior management has a long record of experience in the maritime offshore industry.
In addition to our vessel chartering business, we own and operate a shipyard in
Batam in Indonesia, which we use as a base for our fleet deployed in South East Asia and for in-house ship building, conversion, repair and maintenance. We also provide ship conversion, repair and maintenance services to third parties.
We employ approximately 215 shorebased (including shipyard) and 450 seagoing staff.
